Linda C Lord

LORD, Linda C., (nee Corwin) age 66, of Kettering passed away Thursday, December 12, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital after a long courageous battle with lung cancer and heart disease. Linda was a 1957 graduate of Oakwood High School and committee treasurer for her class reunions. She was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church as well as a board member. Linda was also a member of the Oakwood Historical Society and past president of the Republican Woman’s Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lord in 1994, her parents, Myron F. and Doris Corwin and sister Sylvia Paratore. Linda is survived by her 3 daughters, Shari (Ray) Cartwright of Jacksonville, FL, Karen (Stephen) White of Kettering and Tammy (Roger) Alexander also of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Alexander, and Julia and James White; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Oakwood United Methodist Church, 206 E. Hadley Ave., Oakwood with Rev. Brian Thie officiating.
