Linda Wilson

December 7, 1948 — November 16, 2024

Highland, Michigan

Linda Carol Wilson, age 75, of Highland, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

Linda was born on December 7, 1948 in Pontiac, MI, to the late Richard and Enid Wagner. She grew up with her parents and three brothers in Walled Lake, MI, and graduated from Walled Lake Central High School. Despite her petite stature, Linda was always drawn to sports. Her favorite class throughout school was gym. She joined any team she could, particularly excelling in softball and bowling. It was while bowling in a league at Airway Lanes that she met her future husband, Robert “Bob” Wilson. Linda worked for Ford for several years, before welcoming two sons into the world. Always an involved mother, she left Ford to work for Huron Valley Schools, where her sons attended. The only daughter of a WWII Navy veteran, Linda also served on the Ladies’ Auxiliary of VFW Post 9914 in Milford. In her later years, she loved nothing more than having a house full of family, with sports on TV and hearty midwestern comfort meals cooking in the kitchen. Many joyful hours were spent around her dining room table, playing euchre and watching Lions, Tigers, and Pistons games. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who now cherish these memories.

Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Robert “Bob” Wilson; and brothers Robert “Bob” Wagner and Richard “Dick” Wagner. She leaves behind her sons Mark (Megan) Wilson of Caledonia, MI, and Dean (Kelly) Wilson of Springboro, OH; grandchildren Sophia, Marion, and Corbin of Springboro; granddaughter Kelsey (Brandon) Rickard of Waterford, MI; great-grandchildren Autumn, Natalie, Jameson, Matthew, Avigail, Nicholas and Olivia; one brother, Michael “Mickey” Wagner of Linden, MI; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Linda will be reunited with her beloved husband as she is laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. A private family gathering will take place at a later date to honor her memory.
