Lois D. Macaulay

MACAULAY, Lois E., of Kettering, passed away, Saturday, October 26, 2002. She was born in Melrose, MA. Lois graduated from the University of Rhode Island and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi National Sorority. She was an active 50 year member of the Dayton Alumnae Chapter and past president of the Dayton Panhellenic Association. Lois was also past president of the Dayton Women's Civic Club, member of the Advance Club, past president of Memorial Women's Gathering, Elder and Deacon of Memorial Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and taught church school for 30 years. She was a past secretary, Spiritual Values Chairman and co-chaired the Inspirational Committee of the Dayton Federation of Women's Club. Lois taught ESL for the international center of the Miami Valley Career Academy. She served as leader of two girl scout troops and 1 cub scout group. Lois worked at Huffman Manufacturing Company in the early 50's and retired from A Service Glass Inc. in Beavercreek after 25 years where she worked as office manager. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, David in 1994. Survived by 2 daughters; Phyllis Anne of CA, and Cynthia H. and her husband, Dwayne Fisher of Centerville; son and daughter-in-law, Robert S. and Deborah Macaulay of Kettering; 3 grandchildren, Megan Lynn, Brenna Nicole and Eric Charles; sister, Phyllis O.E. Simonian of RI. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1541 S. Smithville Rd., Dayton with Rev.Kendall Bryant officiating. A reception will follow in the church. Burial in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. Family will greet friends Monday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E.
