PETTIT, Lois J., age 79, of Kettering passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Lois lived in Kettering for over 50 years and was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Julienne High School and studied at the Dayton Art Institute. Lois was a volunteer at the Schuster Center for the Performing Arts, Victoria Theatre, Memorial Hall, the City of Kettering and the Fraze Pavillion. Lois was a member of the Red Hat Society, and twice honoree volunteer of the year 1997 and 1999 at the Victoria Theatre. As a family, they loved to travel on many vacations, including cruises. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter A. Pettit; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Tim Cloud of Centerville; 2 granddaughters, Carrie (John) Ridgeway and Stacy Cloud; brother, Richard (Betty) of Centerville; and uncle, Clarence “Bud” Leising of Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 7, 2006 at 12: 00 noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, with Father Thomas E. Meyer officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Sunday, from 2-5:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In memory of Lois, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Condolences may be sent via the website at www.routsong.com.
