Lois J Pettit

PETTIT, Lois J., age 79, of Kettering passed away Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Lois lived in Kettering for over 50 years and was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church. She was a 1945 graduate of Julienne High School and studied at the Dayton Art Institute. Lois was a volunteer at the Schuster Center for the Performing Arts, Victoria Theatre, Memorial Hall, the City of Kettering and the Fraze Pavillion. Lois was a member of the Red Hat Society, and twice honoree volunteer of the year 1997 and 1999 at the Victoria Theatre. As a family, they loved to travel on many vacations, including cruises. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Walter A. Pettit; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Tim Cloud of Centerville; 2 granddaughters, Carrie (John) Ridgeway and Stacy Cloud; brother, Richard (Betty) of Centerville; and uncle, Clarence “Bud” Leising of Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, August 7, 2006 at 12: 00 noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, with Father Thomas E. Meyer officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends Sunday, from 2-5:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
