Lois Oblinger

OBLINGER, Lois C., age 80, of Kettering passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2006 at Traverse Manor in Traverse City, Michigan. Lois was born October 21, 1925 and lived in Dayton all her life. She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyn College and went on to a career in radio and television, working at Rikes with her own show, 'Shopping with Cornelia'. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and a dedicated volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital and the Victoria Theater. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1997, a brother, Robert and sister, Dorothy. Lois is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Jim) Kouf of Toluca Lake, CA; son Chris (Laura) Oblinger of Traverse City, MI. and 5 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm, on April 1, 2006 at Grace Methodist Church, with Pastor Marla Brown officiating. In memory of Lois, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
