WEISHEIT, Lois Opper., age 95, of Dayton, passed away Sunday February 19, 2017. Lois was born in Hindapur, India to missionary parents Burton and Hazel (Newlon) Opper. She went to high school in Elyria, OH and received a nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University. Later she earned a BS and a master's degree in Education so she could teach in various places including Kodaikanal, India and South Africa. In 1965 she became the director of MBJ School of Nursing in Elyria, OH where she met her late husband Robert Weisheit.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bettie Pixler and Margaret Chamberlin. Lois is survived by her sister Anna Mae Bolar, step-son, David (Peggy) Weisheit; step-daughter, Dianne (Russ) Loughlin; granddaughters, Shannon (Chris) Nitchie, Kelly (Patrick) Cox, Amy Weisheit, and Lisa (Justin) Bailey; great-grandchildren: Connor, Brendan, Kevin and Emelie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on March 1, 2017 at Brookdale Kettering, 280 Walden Way, Beavercreek, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Lois to Hospice of Dayton. Send condolences to the family at www.routsong.com.
