SCOTT, Louis Gene, “Louie” age 73 of Kettering, Ohio, passed away June 13, 2020. Beloved son of the late Bernard and Jean (Girasole) Scott, he was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 24, 1946. He graduated from Fairmont West High School and attended the University of Dayton briefly before entering the United States Army.
Louis is preceded in death by his only sister Nancy (Scott) Glynn. He is survived by his only brother Russ (Emmie) Scott, a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins, as well as friends too numerous to mention, some dating back over 60 years.
After many years, this proud working man retired from Cooper Tire. Lucky Louie will be remembered for his laughter, smile, generous nature, and big heart. Louie never turned down an opportunity to help his friends. As his friends will attest, Louie was loyal, dedicated, and a “one of a kind” character. A bull in life, this proud Italian lived life on his terms. A very loving family man, he will be missed by all who truly knew and loved him.
There will be a celebration of Louie’s life held Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at the VFW, 5441 Marina Drive, West Carrollton, Ohio, 45449, at 5:00pm. If you’d like to make a donation in Louie’s name, please make it out to a charity of your choice.
