HALEY, Dr. Louis M. of Oakwood passed away on Monday, September 18, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital. Louis was a graduate and valedictorian of Chaminade High School. After high school, he served in the United States Navy. Louis graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1950 and from Ohio State University Medical School in 1954. Louis was a family practitioner at Dell Park Medical Center and served as the Chief of Staff at Kettering Medical Center. He was the president of the Moraine Country Club, director of the Western Golf Association, president of the Dayton Bicycle Club, president of the Montgomery County Medical Society and a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society Glee Club. Lou was a true friend and gentleman, an avid golfer, a devoted husband and father, and a uniquely caring physician. He was widely loved and will be missed by many. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Michael R. and Ceclia Haley and brother, Richard L. Haley. Louis is survived by his wife, Jane (Gosiger) Haley; sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Barbara Haley and their children, William, Anne and Mary, John and Carrie Haley and their children, Charles, John, Elizabeth and Caroline; siblings, Adele Haley and Michael Haley and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 218 K. St., Dayton at Brown Street at 11:00 AM with Father Joseph Goetz, Father James Heft and Father Dan Meyer co-officiating. Following the mass, family will receive friends at Moraine County Club, 4075 Southern Blvd., Kettering, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wallace–Kettering Neuroscience Institute, 3737 Southern Blvd. Kettering, OH 45409. Condolences may be sent to the family via the internet on www.routsong.com
