Louis Harry Snell

SNELL, Louis Harry, age 97, of Centerville, OH, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024. 

Louis “Lou” was born May 13, 1927, in Phoneton, OH to the late Harry C. and Emma W.(nee Stallman) Snell. A dutiful and honorable man with great attention to detail, Lou enjoyed spending time with friends and offering random acts of kindness and help when he saw a need. In his younger years, he golfed and bowled. He enjoyed the outdoors and animals. He especially enjoyed watching sports; particularly the Bengals and Buckeyes. 

After graduation from Bethal High School, where he played basketball, Lou joined the Navy during WWII and served 4 years in the Pacific Theater. He completed an associate degree and worked for many years as a purchasing manager at Copeland Corporation in Sidney, Ohio until his retirement. 

Lou is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Wilbur, Robert and Elwood; sister, Della, and wife, Patricia. He is survived by daughter, Melodie (David) Morrow and Kitten Morrel. Lou is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
