Louise Buena Quines

QUINES, Louise B., 70, Of Battlecreek, Michigan, passed away on June 25, 2017. Louise was born in Albay, Philippines to Salvador and Corazon (Buena) Quines. She earned her BSN in Nursing from Adventist University of the Philippines and her Masters in Nursing from Andrews University in Michigan. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years helping those in both the Detroit Medical Center (Harper Hospital) and at the Battlecreek Sanitarium and Hospital. Louise had a big heart and was kind and generous to all, and was well known for helping those in need. She welcomed countless visitors and guests into her home always had a delicious meal waiting for them. She is preceded in death by her parents, older brother James Quines, and sister-in-law Fe Quines. She is survived by her brother Salcor Quines, sister Jimemah (Ben) Perez; nephews Ben Jr Perez, Jimmy (Nina) Quines, Kendrick Quines, and Marvin Quines; nieces Jennifer (Gary) Reed, Joyce (Aaron) Knowlton, and Jaimelyn Quines. She is also survived by her beloved dog Lucky. The family will receive friends from 11-1pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. A Memorial service will immediately follow.
