WHYTE, Louise Henning age 90, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005, surrounded by her daughters. She was a 1932 graduate of Steele High School, began her piano studies at the Proctor School of Music, attended Wittenberg University and the College of Music in Cincinnati. Among her many musical accomplishments were: piano teacher for over 25 years, accompanist for the Dayton Music Club Chorus for 35 years, organist for David’s Church, a 50 year member of Dayton Music Club, member of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for 67 years and a member of the American Matthay Association. Louise was a faithful member of First Baptist Church for 73 years and a member of the Dayton Woman’s Club for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronal; and son, Michael. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Molly Wilson of Toledo, OH and Margaret “Midge” Weakley and her husband, Jerry of Mobile, AL; daughter-in law, Connie Gochoel of Pompano Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Wasserman of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420, First Baptist Church, 111 W. Monument Ave, Dayton, OH 45402, the Dayton Music or SAI Scholarship Fund. Condolences and/or flowers may be sent to the family via the funeral home’s website at www.routsong.com. A memorial service at First Baptist Church will be held April 10, 2005 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Rodney W. Kennedy officiating.
