Lucille Graham

age 86, of Kettering, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for more than 40 years and served on the church council. Lucille retired from Lewis and Michael, Inc. She was an officer for the Women's Council of Lutheran Social Services, the Dayton Business Women's Association and the Lutheran Brotherhood Branch No. 8024. She was involved as a volunteer most of her life, and received the Kettering Mayor's Award for Volunteer Service in 1997. Lucille worked at the Once Around Shop, helped rehabilitate people at We Care Arts, visited with residents at the Montgomery County Home, assisted with lunches for the hungry through Project Blessing, taught children in the Learning Connection, helped with the Adopt-A-family project at Christmas and was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. in 1979; a daughter, Rose Marie Klippel in 1995, and a brother, Arthur Mead. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley A. and Jerry Kunk; 4 grandchildren, Vicki Plessinger, Kathy Alcorn, Mike Kunk and Steve Klippel; and 2 great grandchildren, Steven and Jeremiah. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 901 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Thomas D. Prochaska and Pastor Rodger Schalnat officiating. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Garden. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 A.M., Friday at the church and from 5-8:00 P.M., Thursday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Sunday School Fund, 901 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, Ohio 45429-4688 where Lucille was a long time member and teacher.
