KEATING, Lucille M., age 94, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.
Lucille was born to the late James M. and Valeria (nee Studer) Ahern on July 27, 1920 in Urbana, OH. She was a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Hamilton, OH and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dayton, OH and was an original member of Assumption Parish, Dayton, OH.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Keating; son, Gerald J. Keating and grandson, David S. Fillers. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Ann) Keating, Thomas (Gayle) Keating, and John (Roberta) Keating; daughters, Mary (John) Chakos, Ann (Thomas) Serbonich and Margy (Mark) Gilliat; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her twin sisters, Margaret Cleary and Rose Mary Schindler and many nieces and nephews.
Lucille was a fun-loving, joyful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She devoted her life to her family and her faith.
The family will greet friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 S. Smithville Rd. Dayton, OH. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
