Lucinda Belle Schenck

SCHENCK, Lucinda Belle, age 69, of Oakwood, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Lucinda was born on February 7, 1947 in Avoca, NY to the late Gerald and Mary Mattice. She attended Fairmont Presbyterian Church and worked for numerous years at the Oakwood Register. She also volunteered at Smith Elementary School in Oakwood where her children attended. Lucinda loved gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Schenck, and her daughter, DeAnn. Lucinda is survived by her son, Christopher (Amy) Schenck of Oakwood; grandchildren, Emma, Elly, and Evan; sister, Gayle Chrysler; and brother, Gary Mattice. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. Family will greet friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial in David's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dayton for the exceptional care they gave to Lucinda.
