Luigi Carone Sr.

CARONE, Luigi, Sr., age 89, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2003. Luigi was a Veteran of WWII and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was a founder and lifetime member of the Christopher Columbus Social Club in Dayton, and former partner of Luigi and Frank’s Restaurant on Brown St. in Dayton. Preceded in death by his parents, Domenico Carone and Anna Carone (Perillo), and sister, Carmelina Carone. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Maria Carone (DeCarlo); daughter, Ann (Ken) Hous; 4 sons, Don (Connie) Carone, Max (Gail) Carone, Frank (Denyse) Carone and Luigi (Linda) Carone Jr., all of Dayton; 11 grandchildren, Melissa (Ben) Lusk, Brian Hous, Cara and Kyle Carone, Luigi, Vincenzo, and Max Carone, Jr., Frankie and Danielle Carone, Jennifer Lowry, and Isabella Carone; 1 great granddaughter, Ciera Hous; brother, Frank (Grace) Carone of Dayton; brothers-in-law, Luigi (Mary) DeCarlo of NY and Max DeCarlo of Italy; sister-in-law, Guditta DeCarlo of Italy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 16, at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 218 K St., Dayton with Father Daniel Meyer officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will greet friends Monday evening from 4-7:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave., at Irving.
