JOHNSON, M. Kathleen, age 83, of Dayton, gently left the pain of this earth on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was born on September 27, 1932 in Everton, IN. Kathleen was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Dayton Catholic Business Women's Club, Eastern Star, Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America as Past High Priestess, White Shrine, Daughters of Isabella and Holy Angels Catholic Church. She graduated from Sinclair Community College, a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton, and obtained two Masters Degrees from Central Michigan University. Kathleen retired from the state of Ohio as a Director for Dayton Mental Health Center. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Don E. Johnson; second husband, Leonard E. Pope, son, Timothy Johnson; mother, Esther Moster and brother, Richard Lloyd "Mose" Moster and sister Marjorie Naylor. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Linnya Richardson of Kettering, OH; granddaughter, Alexandria Simons-Schillingburg and her new great-grand granddaughter, Juliet Schillingburg.; sister-in-law, June Moster and brother-in-law John Naylor both of Brookville, IN and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, OH with Fr. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the service at the Marriott Hotel, 1414 S. Patterson Blvd. Dayton, OH. The daughter of Kathleen would like to extend her deepest gratitude to the staff at Vitas Hospice and the Suites of Walnut Creek for their compassionate care of her mother.
