Marc S. Sawyer

SAWYER, Marc Stephen, age 63, of Oakwood, OH, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Marc was born to Alexander Stephen and Joan (nee Lowry) Sawyer on November 12, 1952 in Dayton, OH. He graduated from Kettering West High School in 1970 and attended Miami University. Marc was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton. He coached soccer, basketball, and baseball teams throughout his children's youth. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sue; son, Alex (Laura) Sawyer of Columbus, OH and daughter Mary Sawyer of Atlanta, GA; his parents; brothers: Doug, Tom, Ron, and Mike Sawyer; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. In memory of Marc, donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family will greet friends from 3:00pm-4:00pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Dayton, 111 W. Monument Ave. Dayton, OH with a funeral service to follow at 4:00pm. A reception will follow the service at the church.
