Margaret Ann Arnoldin

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Arnoldin, 90 of Centerville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at St. Leonard Living Community on Feb. 26, 2025. 

Peggy was born in 1934 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Edmund T. and Beatrice (Curnyn) Carroll. She was a 1953 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown, Pa. She was employed as a nurse for much of her adult life, most recently in Phoenix, Ariz., where she resided for several years before moving to Ohio.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexius Arnoldin; brothers Dr. Edmund T. Carroll Jr., Owen Carroll, John Carroll, Richard Carroll; a sister, Patricia (Carroll) Jarmain; and son-in-law Campbell Compton. She is survived by her children, Melinda A. Poist, Dayton, Ohio; Joseph R. Poist, New Oxford, Pa., and Patricia A. Poist (Stuart Douglas), Ithaca, NY.; grandchildren, Jillian T. Compton and Jeffrey D. Compton, both of Dayton; her brothers, Joseph Carroll and James Carroll (Darlene), Atlanta, Ga.; sister-in-law, Donna Carroll, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services are planned at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lilburn, GA in early May.
