ANDREW, Margaret J., age 92 of Oakwood, died Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at Trinity Retirement Community. She was a graduate of Steele High School and The Ohio State University where she was the first woman to graduate from the School of Banking. Margaret was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the American Association of University Women, and The Ohio State University Alumni Life member. She was also a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority, Ohio Women's Hall of Fame, Dayton O.S.U. Alumni Club, Dayton Music Club, Dayton Federation of Women Clubs, the Dayton Women's Club and was the first woman elected president of the Ohio Valley Section Food Technologists. She retired from Frigidaire after 37 years and held several patents. Preceded by her parents James E. and Mary L. (Darst) Andrew; 2 brothers, Herbert and Ralph Andrew; and 2 sisters, Alma Gerhard and Emma Caroline Heath. Survived by 2 nieces, Mary Etta and Tom Hobson of Columbus and Dorothy and Stan Nyquist of St. George, UT; 5 nephews, Eugene and Sharon Heath and Howard Heath both of Ontario, Canada. Donald and Betty Gerhard of Spring Valley, Paul and Ellie Gerhard and Rodney and Carole Andrew, all of Dayton; numerous great nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000 in the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving. If desired, contributions may be made to the Westminster Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, Ohio 45402, Trinity Community of Beavercreek, 3218 Indian Ripple Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45430, or to the charity of your choice.
