age 83 of Oakwood, died Friday, May 4, 2001. She was a member of St. Albert the Great Church. Margaret retired as manager from The Smoke Shop at Elder Beerman (Centerville), and had over 6000 volunteer hours at Kettering Medical Center. At the age of 68, Margaret graduated from Sinclair Community College with an Associate Degree in Mental Health. She loved gardening. Preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, in 1979. Survived by 2 daughters, Judy and her husband Larry Wolf of Coldwater, OH, Jill and her husband Nick Thomas of Oakwood; 2 sons, Marvin and his wife Jonal Manker of Kettering, and John and his wife Sandy Manker of Kettering; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Louis and his wife Shirley Wirtheim of Dayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon on Tuesday, May 8 at St. Albert the Great, 3033 Far Hills Ave., Dayton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, also Tuesday, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Inc., P. O. Box 3509, Dayton, OH 45401-3509.
