WILSON, Margaret Main "Peg", age 97, of Dayton passed away Monday, March 18, 2013.
She was born on April 24, 1915 in Shippensburg, PA to the late William T. and Mary Main.
Peg graduated from Shippensburg Normal School. She then attended Wilson College and Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Peg had a life long passion for nursing, inspiring others to pursue the profession. Her love of travel began on an adventure with her mother to Alaska in the '30's.
Peg was an active member of the Woman's Auxiliary at Good Samaritan Hospital, The Garden Club of Dayton, Diner's Club, Progressive Mothers, College Club, and Women's Club. She was a loving, gracious woman of faith who was dedicated to her family and community.
Even though she was a Keystone gal, she became an enthusiastic fan of OSU and UD sports when she married a Buckeye guy.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband Joseph M. Wilson, MD. She is survived by her three daughters: Nancy (Bruce) Knee, Cynthia (Roberto) D'Alimonte, and Carolyn (Jim Jolly) Wilson; grandchildren: Amy (Jerry) Stockman, Marco and Carlo D'Alimonte; great-grandchildren: Natalie and Ace Holmberg.
The family will celebrate Margaret's life at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson St., Dayton, Ohio 45402.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Garden Club of Dayton, Jennifer Almoney, Treasurer, 30 Walnut Ln., Dayton, OH 45419 or to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
