Marian S. Simmons

SIMMONS, Marian age 82, formerly of Taitwood Dr. in Centerville passed away Tuesday, October, 16, 2007 at Walnut Creek Nursing Home. Marian was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and was very active in the A.A.U.W. (American Association of University Women), League of Women Voters, Aviation Trails and many other organizations, where she made significant contributions to the community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Elizabeth Searls and her brother, John Searls. Marian is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Milton Simmons; a niece, Margot Searls; and nephews, John and Richard Searls. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20 at 3:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Rev. Kathy Horne officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until the time of the service also at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY at a later time.
