Marilyn Ann Burns

BURNS, Marilyn, age 66, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. She was born to the late Charles Clifford and Kathleen (nee O'Brien) Messmer on November 28, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio. Marilyn retired from Xerox where she was a document specialist. She was a long time and very involved member of Christ United Methodist Church. Marilyn was a very selfless person who collected angels and bells as well as people's hearts through her kind and giving nature. She enjoyed watching movies and musicals. Marilyn was a thrill seeker who loved riding on roller coasters. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Gloria Messmer. Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Michele Russo and Beth Tuck; 1 son; sister, Kathie (David) Althoff; brothers, Charles (Carol) Messmer, James Messmer and John (Carolyn) Messmer; grandchildren, Dara, Brady and Lyndsey; and several nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 2:00-3:00pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church with service to follow at 3:00pm. Reception to follow after the service.
