BIRD, Marilyn Kepler, age 56, of Kettering, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 22, 2003. “ARE WE ONLY TO BE REMEMBERED BY THE MEMORIES OF OTHER PEOPLE.” She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Marilyn graduated from Centerville High School in 1965 and Ball State University in 1969. She was an accomplished writer and communication specialist. She was Director of Productions for the Dance and Development Center, Youth Director for YWCA, Director of Public Relations for Centerville Schools Project RAAP, Supervisor for Womenline Inc., Past Volunteer Manager and volunteer for Kettering Memorial Hospital, Past member of Kettering Youth Commissions and a tutor for Kettering Schools. Survived by her husband, Dann Bird; parents, Harold and Mary Ann Kepler of Centerville; daughter, Jennifer Bird of Oxford, OH; sister, Susan Perry of Boyton Beach, FL Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday at the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Father Chris Wittmann officiating. Burial in David’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions or book donations can be made to the Chaminade – Julienne High School Library in the name of Marilyn Kepler Bird.
