HARPER, Marilyn M. (Zimmer), age 88, of Centerville, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Village.
Marilyn was born in Dayton on December 7, 1924 to the late Eugene and Marie (Brendel) Zimmer. She married Paul Harper on November 4, 1950 in Dayton. Marilyn graduated from Julienne High School in 1942, then attended the University of Dayton.
She and her husband owned and operated CTM, Central Tool and Mfg., retiring in 1992. Marilyn was a member of Incarnation Church and served on various committees. She enjoyed bowling, bridge, and spending time with her family.
Marilyn is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Joni Marie Christman, son-in-law, Lew Thomson and five brothers, Elwood, Paul, Gene, Robert, and Arthur Zimmer.
She is survived by her husband and four daughters, Paula (John) Noble of Springboro, Lyn Owens of Springboro, Kathy Christman of Bluffton, Indiana, and Lorrie (Greg) Andrulis of Manassas Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, Melissa (Mark) Conrad, John Noble, Joel Noble, Allison Noble, Emily (Mike) Vonderau, Saralyn Moore, John (Meredyth) Moore, Brian (Mallory) Christman, Danny Christman, Jeremy Christman, Jason Christman, Austin and Maggie Andrulis; five great-grandchildren, Sam, Abby and Max Vonderau, Jeremy Moore and Mackenzie Christman and two brothers, Ret. Col Charles (Nina) Zimmer and Dr. James Zimmer.
Family will greet friends from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, OH. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
