Marion E. Hobbs

HOBBS, Marion E., age 95 of Kettering passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. Marion was a member of the Ft. McKinley United Methodist Church, the Dayton #147 F&AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton. Marion was retired from the Burger Iron Company after 34 years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edna Hobbs, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Marion is survived by his children; Geraldine (Jeri) Shaftner of Lancaster, SC and Robert Hobbs of Dayton; grandchildren, Brian Hobbs of Ft. Myer, FL, Kit Shaftner of Morristown, TN, Aaron Hobbs of Dayton and Latisha Mosteller of Lincolnton, NC; 3 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, 1639 E. Lytle Five Points Rd. Centerville, OH 45458. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Ohio, West Central Branch, Dayton Office, 7560 McEwen Rd., Dayton, OH 45459.
