Marion J. Glass

GLASS, Marion J., age 92, of Kettering, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Mr. Glass was a life long resident of Dayton and attended Kiser High School. He was the founder and president of Marion’s Piazza and Marion’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shop. Mr. Glass was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, a former member of the Dayton Country Club, the National Restaurant Association, Ohio Restaurant Association, Miami Valley Restaurant Association, Knights of Columbus, Dayton Food Services Executive Association and past president of the Dayton Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene in January, 2000; 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Mr. Glass is survived by son, Roger Glass, Oakwood, daughter, Carol Pollock and son-in-law Dr. James Pollock, Kenilworth, IL and daughter Kathleen Glass, Washington Twp; 6 grandchildren, Mollie (Monja), Roger (RJ) and Jennifer McKay, and Meredith, Elizabeth and Kristin Pollock; numerous nieces and nephews, many special and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 17, 2006 at 12:00 noon at St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Interment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
