STANLEY, Marjorie Werner, age 91, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
Marjorie was a 1939 graduate of Steele High School and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1943 where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was the personnel manager at Delco Products for 43 years. Marjorie was a volunteer at Kettering Medical Center, a member of the Dayton Women's Club and the Dayton College Club, and was a charter member of Kettering Noon Optimist Club. She taught Sunday school at Fairmont Presbyterian Church for many years until her transfer to Christ United Methodist Church were Marjorie served as a devoted member. Marjorie dearly loved her family and her many friends, gardening, going bowling and traveling.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Wiesman; second husband, Douglas Stanley; and brother, Edward Werner. She is survived by her step daughters, Betsy (Ken) Nisbet and Judy McDowell; and nieces and nephews, Karen Werner Connolly, David (Susan) Werner, Florence Werner Foster, Andy (Toni) Werner; 6 great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews; and many more loved family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Woodland Mausoleum Chapel, 118 Woodland Ave, Dayton with Rev. Barry DeShetler officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before the service in the Mausoleum. Entombment will be in Woodland Mausoleum.
