Marlene Kay Hamiel

HAMIEL, Marlene Kay, age 61, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Marlene graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1963. She was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors, working as a realtor for 10 years. Marlene was a member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls #46, charter member of Elissa Shrine Guild, co-founder of the former Dayton Infertility Society, and past President of Greenmont Elementary School PTA. Marlene was also a member of the American Legion Post 598 Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Belmont Chapter #555. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Woodgeard and brother, Jerome Woodgeard Sr. Marlene is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Melvin Hamiel; daughter, Tiffany Hamiel of Kettering; mother, Mary Woodgeard of Riverside; 2 sisters, Jackie (Ken) Dell of Beavercreek and Diana Cherryholmes of Dayton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Burial in Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
