Marlyn Newpart Leis

LEIS, Marilyn Newpart, died on October 27, 2008 at her home. Born to Christian J. and Dorothea Jacobs Newpart on December 20, 1930, she was raised in Chicago. Marilyn attended DePauw University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She spent her adult life in Kettering, OH. Marilyn was preceded in death by her younger brother, James R. Newpart. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles A. Leis; daughters, Nancy (Mike) Kota of Davidson, NC and Susan (Howard) Thiele of Kettering; grandchildren, Megan Kota (Wade) Morris of Washington, DC, Emily Kota of Nashville, TN, Christopher Thiele of Chicago, and Elizabeth Thiele of Indianapolis. A celebration of her life will be hosted Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Private graveside services will be held for the family.
