Marta S. Santacaterina

SANTACATERINA, Marta S., age 70 of Dayton, passed away peacefully Wednesday January 23, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born October 17, 1942 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is survived by her loving husband, Lui, daughter Laurita, son Andrew, sister Cristina, brother Horacio and dear friend Doug Trammell. When Marta was young she and her family moved from Argentina to the United States. She lived in New York City where she met the love of her life, Lui. After they married they traveled the world making many happy memories. Later they moved to Dayton, OH where she raised her children. After the children were grown she decided to fill her spare time and started working at NCR/Teradata where she was working until the time of her death. She was a dedicated wife and amazing mother. She always put the needs of her family and others before her own. Marta loved spending time with her family and friends. She believed in living each day to the fullest. She enjoyed a very social life, traveling, visiting her children, listening to jazz music, knitting and reading. When she was home she enjoyed a room full of candles, entertaining friends and spending time with her husband. Marta was always there for others. She had an infectious laugh and a love of life. She was incredible force of nature that truly left this world a better place. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 PM Saturday January 26, 2013 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marta's honor to the charity of your choice.
