Martha Adamson Berner

BERNER, Martha Adamson age 93 of Kettering passed away on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Martha was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Moraine Country Club, Four Seasons Garden Club and the Junior League. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, cooking, and volunteering at the Kettering Hospital. Martha was the youngest girl in Dayton at age 16, to solo an airplane. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John B. Adamson and Fred Berner; children, John B. Adamson Jr., Julie Adamson and an infant. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne (David) Woodyard of Granville, OH and Jacquelyn Janney of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Kimberly Woodyard of Columbus, Sara Jane Woodyard of Richmond, VA, John (Linda) Janney of Fredericksburg, VA and Douglas (Mary) Janney of Fredericksburg, VA and 6 great-grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held Friday morning. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 4:00 PM at Lincoln Park Manor, 590 Issac Prugh Way, Kettering.
