Martha (Martie) Elizabeth Hoffman

HOFFMAN, Martha E. (Martie) age 94, of Dayton, OH passed away Saturday, April 6, 2002 in Dayton. She was born, August 1, 1907 in Dayton, OH to the late Gertrude (Carr) and Robert Henderson. Also preceded in death by her husband, George M. Hoffman (married 1948), (died Oct. 5, 1986). A devoted mother and friend to many, Martie is survived by her son, Douglas and his wife, Lynda; granddaughter, Holly Hoffman; grandsons, Timothy Webb and wife Jessika, and Jeramy Webb. She is also survived by brothers, Norman, Rollan, and Robert Henderson; sisters, Virginia Copeland and Louise Scheidt, and supporting friends and family members. Preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Walter and William Henderson. Martie retired from the Royal Crest Dairy and was previously employed at Dayton Fyr Fyter Company. Martie will be fondly remembered as an avid bowler in the 1930's and 40's, her storytelling ability and love of movies and books. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 10, at 10:30 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial in Dayton Memorial Park. Family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
