BROWN, Martin Kuntz “Bo” age 75 of Kettering, OH, died Saturday, July 20, 2024. He was a dedicated husband, father, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bo attended Oakwood High School, St. George’s School and St. Thomas More Prep. He furthered his education by obtaining a B.S. in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology and pursued graduate-level studies at George Washington University. Bo’s commitment to excellence was demonstrated through his achievements as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Investment Management Analyst®.
Following his time with the National Gear Corporation and Dyna Corporation, his entrepreneurial spirit led Bo to found M.K. Brown Wealth Advisory. Since 1983, his business was one of his greatest joys. He considered every client his friend and loved nothing more than helping them realize their retirement dreams. When his daughter Elizabeth joined him in 2005 many would ask when he would finally retire. His answer was always never and while his last day in the office was just days before he died, his legacy and his lifelong work will continue to live on through Elizabeth, Lisa (his trusted sidekick of 28 years) and staff.
Bo was a lover of travel throughout the world. He appreciated fine art collected through those travels, was a voracious reader, loved music and fast cars and hoarded French and Italian wine. Always one to try new things and be interested in new hobbies he enjoyed chess, backgammon, golf, skiing, sailing and fly fishing (that is until Sukey was better at them and then he would quit). Bo was very proud to achieve a second-degree black belt at the age of 71. He was also a member of Psi Sigma Kappa, Dayton Country Club and Porsche Club of America and past trustee of The Steffen Brown Foundation.
Bo is preceded in death by his parents Steffen S. Brown and Marianna K. Brown.
Bo is survived by Sukey, his partner in crime of 53 years. His children who he was deeply proud of and who meant the absolute world to him: Aimy Young (Celina, TX), Steffen Brown (Port Townsend, WA), Elizabeth (Matt) Kussman (Oakwood, OH), Anne Brown (Los Angeles, CA); grandchildren; Piper, Tatum, Bo, Bear and Croix.
Private family services will be held by family invite only. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel To Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Blvd Staten Island, NY 10306.
Arrangements in care of Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering, OH.
Bo was as a handful in all of the best ways. He kept love alive and he said we age, but don’t have to grow up. When you do, life is not as exciting – you grow old quickly.
