Mary A. Rotterman

ROTTERMAN, Mary A., age 83, of Centerville, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Heartland of Centerville. Mary was born in Dayton, OH to the late Lawrence and Lucille (Lachey) Ens on July 30, 1933. She is also preceded in death by her two sisters; Catherine Ney and Margaret Eichel. Upon graduating from Julienne High School in 1951, Mary pursued her love of teaching by graduating from the University of Dayton in 1955 with a Degree in Education. She went on to teach for many years and retired from the Dayton Public School System after 25 years of faithful dedication. After retiring, Mary became a professional floral designer. She enjoyed staying busy, and was active in her community. Mary dealt in antiques and also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert; children, Anne (Daniel) Davis of Oakwood, Peggy (James) Geyer of Beavercreek and Kathy (Frank) O'Bryant of Springboro. Mary is also survived by her grandchildren; Stephen, Claire, AJ, Ashley, Robert, Rachael and Emily; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Ens and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland of Centerville and Heartland Hospice for their devotion and tender care given to Mary during her final days. A special thank you to everyone who supported and cared for Mary. A visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm, on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Routsong Centerville, 81 North Main St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave., Centerville. Inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. In memory of Mary, contributions may be directed to St. Vincent de Paul, Incarnation Church.
