Mary Ann Bishop

BISHOP, Mary Ann, “Mazie” age 79, of Beavercreek passed away, Sunday, March 4, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She was a 1945 graduate of Fairview High School and received her Bachelor of Arts from 1949 from Ohio Wesleyan University. Mazie was crowned Miss Dayton in 1952 and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and Phi Epsilon Omicron. She was a receptionist at O’Ney’s Salon for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles C. and Mary Rose Boone. Mazie is survived by her daughter, Mary Rose (Gary) Stepp of Beavercreek; son Rev. Robert Earl (Lori) Bishop of West Carrollton; and 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Justin and Carly Stepp, Sarah, Carter, Bobby and Abby Bishop and great grandson, Alex Stepp. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Robert Earl Bishop officiating. Private inurnment in Woodland Mausoleum. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
