Mary Ann Leschansky

LESCHANSKY, Mary Ann, age 69, of Bellbrook, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Mary Ann was born on June 23, 1955, to the late Gilbert and Marjorie (nee Evans) May, in Dayton, OH. She grew up in Dayton and graduated from St. Joseph Commercial High School, class of 1973, before starting her career as a legal secretary at various local law firms. After taking time off to raise her daughters, Mary Ann finished her career with the Marianist Mission. Along with her husband Ed she was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, where she was a CCD teacher. Throughout her life Mary Ann was a passionate animal lover and had an affinity for taking care of the local neighborhood squirrels and birds. Mary Ann was happiest when spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her faithful and caring spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and Norman May; sister, Jeanine May; brother-in-law, Mike Couch. 

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Ed Leschansky; children, Elizabeth (Adam) Pepmeier, Anne (Jay) Vance, and Catherine Leschansky; grandchildren, Logan, Jack, and Luke Pepmeier and Emmett and Pierce Vance; sisters, Karen (Dick) Spohn, Kathleen (Michael) Gallagher, and Joyce May; and numerous beloved extended family and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following day at 10:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 4500 Ackerman Blvd. Friends will greet the family an hour prior to Mass.
