KINDERMAN, Mary E., �Nana,� age 97, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Oak Creek Terrace. Mary attended St. Francis of Assisi Church. She graduated from high school in Austria-Hungary and later attended the Art Institute of Dayton for two years. Mary retired from the Hobart Scale Division after 50 years. She was a charter member of the Dayton South Slavic Club and always loved to entertain her family and friends with lots of food. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph; two sisters, Katherine Andelkovich and Stephanie Dudley. She is survived by her special niece and care giver Constance Andelkovich-Sakar, whom she brought from Croatia in 1957; grandniece MaryAnn(David)Stanley and their children Emily and Justin; 2 grandnephews, Joseph(Mandy)Sakar and their son Joseph and Eugene Sakar; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 5, 2009 at 10:30AM at St Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer�s Unit at Oak Creek Terrace, 2316 Springmill Rd., Kettering, OH 45440 or St. Francis of Assisi Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459. The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Creek Terrace and supporting friends for their compassionate care of Mary.
