Mary E. Phelps May

age 95, of Bristol, Tennessee, formerly of Fairborn and Oakwood, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. A native of Fayette County, KY, the daughter of the late, John D. and Ada Phelps, she had made her home in the Bristol area for the past 4 years. Mary attended Weaver Union Church. Preceded in death by her husband J.T. May; a son, Delbert E. May; 3 sisters, Margaret Phelps, Stella Goodpasture and Myrtle Buskirk; and a brother, John W. Phelps. Survived by 3 daughters, Louise (Ben) Bartlett of Reno, NV, Shirley Toenjes of Bluff City, TN, and Charlotte (Bobby) McConnell of Bluff City, TN; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul P. and Flora May of Beavercreek; a sister, Elizabeth Lacy of Lexington, KY; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday in Centerville Cemetery, Maple St., Centerville with Rev. Keven Wentworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 A.M., Saturday in the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Weaver Union Church, 132 Peoples Rd., Bristol, TN 37620. ''We love you Mother and will miss you always''.
