Mary E. Walker

nee Kimble), age 78 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2000 in her home. Mary was born in Dayton on September 2, 1922 and was a graduate of Steele High School in 1940. She remained active in the ''last class'' reunion activities throughout the years. Mary was employed as a cosmetologist in various locations in the Dayton area before retiring in 1970. Beginning in 1980, she began wintering at Whispering Pines in Sebring, Florida, keeping Kettering as her primary residence. And she did love her bingo!! Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Carrie Kimble and a brother, Kenneth, all of Dayton; a son, James Thomas Walker of Seattle, WA; 2 grandsons, James Robert Walker of Lake Worth, FL and Robbie L. Wright of Fairbanks, AK. Survived by her husband of 58 years, John L. Walker; a brother, Ivan Kimble and his wife Florence of Dayton; 2 sons, Jack L. Walker and wife Frances of Dayton, and Ronald E. Walker and wife Naiza Maria of Lake Worth, FL; a daughter, Sharon and husband, Robert L. Wright of Fairbanks, AK; a daughter-in-law, Diane Walker Baker of Seattle, WA; along with 7 granddaughters, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, in the Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville with Pastor William Zimmann officiating. Burial following in Centerville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1-2:00 P.M. on Saturday in the funeral home. If desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Inc., P.O.
