Mary Ellen Clayton

CLAYTON, Mary Ellen, age 94, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Mary was born February 24, 1924 to the late Everett and Kathleen (Daly) Stockwell in Toledo, OH. She graduated from St. Ursula High School in Toledo, earned her Bachelors degree in education from Mary Manse College, and her Masters degree from Bowling Green University. Mary taught in Findlay, OH, Ft. Riley, and Ft. Smith, AK. She loved traveling to such places as Ireland, Florida and Maine, watching Jeopardy and playing cards. Mary was married to her loving husband, John Clayton upon his passing in 1988. She was a member of Church of the Incarnation and Leisure Club. Mary was survived by her children, Christopher Clayton and James Clayton; grandchildren, Alex and Anna Clayton. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St. Centerville, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, June 20 at Church of the Incarnation, 7415 Far Hills Ave. Centerville, OH.
