Mary Estella Bruce

BRUCE, Mary Estella, age 92, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006. Mary was born on September 2, 1914 to the late Stephen and Lucy Burk. Mary was a life long member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Western College and became a teacher in Terrace Park in the 1930’s. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert A. Bruce; sisters, Elizabeth Reuss and Rachel Burk; brother, Loper Burk. Survived by her son, Dr. Robert A. Bruce, Jr., of Columbus; daughter, Anne (Hussein) Sharaway, of Kissimmee, FL and grandchildren, Kristie (Scott) McCulloch, Julie (Mark) Zogbaum, Tarek (Carolyn) Sharaway, Joey Sharaway and great grandchild, Caroline McCulloch. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2006 at David’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 4600 Mad River Rd., Kettering with Dr. Robert H. Wade officiating. Entombment in David’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Western College Alumni Association, Miami University, 725 E.
