Mary H. Howe

HOWE, Mary H. (Moosbrugger), 93 of Kettering, formerly of Oakwood, passed away Tuesday, February 12, at Miami Valley Hospital (the hospital where she was born). She was a 1933 graduate of Julienne High School. Mary was a long-time, active member of Holy Angels Parish, where she sang in the adult choir for over 40 years. She was an active volunteer in the community. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, J. Fred Howe; three brothers: Robert Moosbrugger, L. Eugene Moosbrugger, and James V. Moosbrugger; one sister, Miriam (Moosbrugger) Sword, and her parents, Louis and Mary Helen Moosbrugger. She is survived by five daughters: Rosane (Howe) Hogan, Judith M. Howe (Carpenter), Mary Joanne Howe-Vachon and Marc, Patricia E. Howe, Diane L. Howe; 11 grandchildren and their spouses: Donna M. (Hogan) Hancock, Mary E. (Hogan) Miller, Judith L. (Hogan) Miller, John F. Hogan, Robert F. Hogan, Thomas L. Hogan, James C. Hogan, Jerome Hogan (deceased), Daniel L. Hogan, Jason F. Howe-Vachon and Jenifer, Kyle W. Howe-Vachon, Deborah Carpenter, and Desiree Carpenter. Additionally, Mary is also survived by 28 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers: Paul H. Moosbrugger (Helen) of Dayton, and Richard C. Moosbrugger (Frannie) of Englewood, and she was "Aunt Mary" to 25 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 15 at 10:00AM at Holy Angels Church with Father Dan Meyer officiating. Mary's family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4-7:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
