Mary Jane Davis

DAVIS, Mary "Jane" (nee Fashner) age 83 of Kettering passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Jane was a graduate of the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member and former president of ABWA (American Business Women's Association) and was awarded "Woman of the Year" twice. Jane was the co-owner of Charles Davis Florist and was an excellent wedding designer. She enjoyed sailing and collecting shells and creating porcelain dolls. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, George and Josephine Fashner and sister, Evelyn Hardin. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles "Chuck" Judson Davis; children, Sue (Bud) Davis Lindeman; Tom (Toni) Davis and Christine (Joe) Townsend; grandchildren, Janinne, Shelly, Kristi, Bob, Zac, Corey, Rose, Kelly and Mike; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 12 noon at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Dave Tackett officiating. Graveside service at Harris Creek Cemetery in Bradford, Ohio at 3:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
