Mary R. Young

age 65, of Traverse City, MI (formerly of Dayton) passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004, after a brief illness. Mary was born in Lebanon, OH. She was a graduate of Waynesville High School and had worked at Mead Corporation where she met her husband. Mary was a homemaker and also had her Ohio Real Estate License. She was a member of Junior League of Dayton and Columbus, Moraine Country Club, Traverse City Country Club, 21 Dinner Club of Traverse City and the Traverse City Newcomers Club. Mostly however, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend! She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond B. Rawers. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Clinton R. “Tad” Young and their children and grandchildren; 2 daughters, Kathy (Todd) Edwards of Atlanta, GA, and their children, Jordan and Zachary, Marianne (Wes) Vines of Dallas, TX, and their children, Ben and Erin; and 3 sons, Bruce (Jill) Young of Overland Park, KS, and their children, Nicole, Morgan and Brock, Tony (Julie) Young of Dayton, OH, and their children, Alex and Carly, and Steve (Donna) Young of Dayton, OH, and their children, Amanda and Jessica; mother, Mary M. Rawers of Kettering; sister, Madeline Warner of Beavercreek; and brother, Bill Rawers of Lebanon. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, Thursday, at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
