Mary "Samie" Pochard

POCHARD, Mary “Samie”, age 92, of Centerville, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020. Samie was born on January 17, 1928 to the late William and Bessie (Mason) Hay, in New Castle, IN.

Through the years she worked in real estate, customer service, and as an administrative assistant.

For many years she enjoyed bowling, traveling, especially to Hawaii and Florida, and sunbathing. She was the beloved matriarch of her family and a devoted friend to many. She was also a longtime member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Belmont Chapter #555.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bill Hay.

Samie is survived by her daughters, Dianne Inghram, Debbi (Dan) Donaldson, Denise (Steve) Daniels; grandchildren, Leslie (Jeff) Watkins, Christina Mckinley, Heather (Brian) Gould, Jessica (Brian) Shields, Marc Daniels, and Wyatt Daniels; great-grandchildren, Brittney (Henry) Faun, Sierra Hudson, Sydney Watkins, Logan Shields, and Matthew Daniels; great-great grandchildren, Kamryn DeVoe, Hunter Adkisson, and Kendall Lewis; brother Forrest “Red” Hay; and longtime dear friend Marilee Wells.

Her family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Social Row Transitional Care for their wonderful compassion and care.

A visitation will be held from 10-11am on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH, with a service to follow at 11am. Burial in Willow View Cemetery.
