age 79, of Centerville, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001. He served as a pilot in the Navy during World War II. Max retired after 30 years at Delco Moraine in the security department. He was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church and VFW Post 9550. Preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Mamie Howard and 2 brothers, William Austin and Jesse Howard. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Emma Howard; daughter, Marcia and her husband, Frank Zecchini, of Centerville; 3 grandchildren, Tim and his wife, Sarah Zecchini, of West Carrollton, Andrew Zecchini of Dayton and Kate Zecchini of Centerville; 2 sisters, Inez Robinson of Franklin and Minnie Jean Howard of Centerville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, in Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville, with Rev. Danny Griffith officiating. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 200 W. Franklin St., Centerville OH 45459.
