Maxine Pancher passed away peacefully at home in Centerville, Ohio on June 28, 2018. Born on April 6, 1939 in Blackfork, Ohio, she was preceded by her parents, Carl and Marie King and siblings, William and Georgieanna King. Maxine is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tim; children, Amy Pancher of Centerville, OH., Jill (Yaser) Aldineh of Oakwood, OH. and David (Holly) Holstein of Beavercreek, OH.; siblings, Kay Stickel, Keith (Kaye) King, and Albert King; grandchildren, Kathryn (Matt) Jesse, Caroline Dixon, Zack Aldineh, Danny Holstein, Robby Holstein, Maggie Holstein, great grandson, Adam Jesse, and lifelong friends, Sally Freeman and Jackie Gurton.
Maxine was part of the first graduating class at Eastmoor High School in Columbus, where she was crowned homecoming queen in 1957. Afterward, she devoted most of her life to being the best mother possible whether it was spending countless hours at sporting and 4-H events, helping to establish businesses, or preparing the many delicious family and holiday dinners we shared, her children were always her first priority, even long after they had reached adulthood.
A public burial service will be held on July 2 at 11:00 am; Maplewood Cememtery; 4585 Reynoldsburg-New Albany Rd., New Albany, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Dayton Foundation; 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420 (www.hospiceofdayton.org/donations/). The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Daytons home hospice program, who helped make it possible for Maxine to spend her final weeks at peace, in the comfort of her own home.
