Michael A. Kerezsi

KEREZSI, Michael A., age 93 of Newark, DE (formerly of Kettering, OH) passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011. Michael graduated from Steele High School and the University of Dayton. Mike was a Captain in the Army Air Corps during WWII serving in various locations throughout Europe. He met his wife Margaret, an army nurse, in Paris. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at WPAFB and was a Life member of VFW Post 9927 in Kettering. Michael was an accomplished Poet, Ham Radio Operator and long standing member of the Knights of Columbus and the Magyar Club of Dayton. Preceded in death by parents, Michael and Julia Kerezsi and his loving wife, Margaret (Sofka) Kerezsi in 2005. Michael is survived by his three children, Mary Margaret Jehn (Donald) of Ellicott City, MD, Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Shockley (Tom) of Huntington Beach, CA and Michael J. “Jim” Kerezsi (Lenora) of Newark, DE; five grandchildren, Elisa Marie Jehn-Bhatia, Christine Margarette Jehn, Kathrynne Michel “Katey” Jehn, Joseph Michael Kerezsi, Matthew Taylor Kerezsi, great granddaughter Leela Marie Bhatia, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8pm on Thursday January 20th at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on January 21th at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Boulevard, Kettering. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 3797 Summit Glen Dr. Suite G-100, Dayton, Ohio 45449.
