VOLLMAN, Michael E. “Mike”, age 72, of Kettering, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020. Mike was born on May 9, 1948 to Patsy Vollman and the late Herman Vollman in Dayton, OH.
He graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1967. He proudly served 6 years in the Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He worked for Instrulab as a master field calibration technician and manager of the Kentucky office for 36 years and retired in 2010. Mike was an accomplished craftsman and woodworker and made many creative gifts on his scroll saw. He also made beautiful jewelry, stained-glass pictures, and enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his father Herman Vollman. He is survived by his loving wife, Treasa; mother, Patsy Vollman; and sister, Barbara (Doug) Miller. Also, survived by his beloved daughter, Cara (Dave) Boucher; grandson, Angelo (Brittany) Rodriguez, and granddaughter, Lexi Rodriguez; and step children Reneé Goodson and Mike Fox. Mike was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many extended family members and friends as well.
A visitation will be held from 3-5pm on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with a service to be held following the visitation with a livestream available at Routsong Funeral Home’s YouTube channel.
Burial in Dayton National Cemetery.
